The Back Bay is one of my favorite spots to take pictures of flowering trees in Boston. I love the juxtaposition of delicate blossoms and classic Brownstone architecture. Commonwealth Ave and Marlborough Street near the Boston Public Garden is a must visit location in late April and early May. From there you can easily walk to the Public Garden and the Beacon Hill neighborhood.
Boston Public Garden is America's oldest Public Park and is a must visit part of Boston any time of the year. The park is especially vibrant during the Spring months with dozens of flowering trees and beautifully maintained flower beds. Take a leisurely walk around the pond or grab a bench on a nice day. Don't forget to visit the Make Way for Ducklings statue and take a ride on the famous Swan Boats.
The Boston Esplanade is a great place to take in the spring blossoms. You can walk along the Charles River from the Museum of Science to Kenmore if you're feeling ambitious! Or if you're looking for something a little more relaxed, bring a picnic basket and watch the baby swans play in the river.
Beacon Hill is known for its gorgeous homes and cobblestone streets. With planter boxes bursting with tulips and Dogwood trees glowing in the warm afternoon sun, what's not to love?
Whether you're on your way to an early season game at Fenway or off to a tour of Boston University make sure to swing though Kenmore and check out the Cherry blossoms. These beautiful trees usually flower in Mid-April and are lovely to behold.
